Remove search box from search results page

Submitted by ccgale on Thu, 2013-08-15 13:26 in

Sorry to ask yet another question (good news, almost finished the site so won't be as many!!)

Am using the wordpress plugin and i would like to remove the search box from the search results page. I am using my own wordpress search box and it looks messy having it appear twice. Cannot seem to find the page which contains this box. Any pointers would be good.

On a related note. Also cannot find where 'STOCKIST' is in the code. I found a reference to it in one file and changed it but nothing happened on site. I would like to change it to 'Retailer' as sounds better (in my opinion)

Thanks
Carl

Hello Carl,

If you don't want the plugin generated search box to appear at all, on any of the plugin generated pages, then you can simply delete the contents of the Main / Search Form template (wp-admin > Settings > PriceTapestry.org). Save a copy of the default version in a text file on your local computer as the easiest way to restore easily if required.

However, if you _do_ want to have it on the main plugin generated page (e.g. /shopping where Featured Products would be displayed if you have any configured) then let me know and I'll work out the best way to make it conditional (that will require a small code change).

The term "Stockist" in the header row of the price comparison table can be found in in the Prices / Before template on the same page, where you can change to Retailer, or as required.

Cheers,
David.
