Adding A New Merchant

1. Upload the merchant's product feed into the /feeds/ directory.
2. Navigate to the /admin/ directory of your Price Tapestry installation.
3. Click Register alongside the filename that you have just uploaded.
4. Wait for the feed format autodetection to complete, and then click Next.
5. If autodetection was successful you will be able to see the contents of the first product record displayed at the bottom of the page. If you cannot see the first record, click Back and manually select the correct file format from the drop down menu.
6. Enter the name of the merchant, and use the contents of the first record to select which fields from the feed correspond to the Product Name, Description (optional), Image URL (optional), Buy URL and Price. If desired, enter category and/or brand information under the optional index fields section, or select corresponding fields from the feed.
7. Click Register and Trial Import to register the feed and import the first 10 product records as a quick test to make sure that everything is working.
8. Go to the home page of your site, and follow the browse by Merchant link and then click the name of the new merchant to browse through the product records and check that everything is OK.
9. If everything is OK, return to the administration home page and click Import alongside the new filename to import all product records. This process may take a few minutes for product feeds with several thousand records.

Updating A Merchant's Products

1. Upload the latest merchant's product feed into the /feeds/ directory, making sure to use the same filename for the feed.
2. Navigate to the /admin/ directory of your Price Tapestry installation.
3. Click the link to import the feed. There is no need to re-register feeds whenever you update them as long as the format has not changed.

Removing A Merchant

1. Delete the merchant's product feed from the /feeds/ directory.
2. Navigate to the /admin/ directory of your Price Tapestry installation.
3. Click the link to de-register the missing feed and delete products from that feed.
